Do I need an FFL to build an AR?
Only the lower receiver is a firearm. It ships to Iron Valor Armory for a $25 transfer (Form 4473 + background check). Every other part ships directly to you or is held for pickup.
What makes an AR an SBR?
A barrel under 16" with a shoulder stock. That requires an approved ATF Form 1 and tax stamp BEFORE assembly. Under-16" barrels with a brace, or 16"+ barrels with a stock, are not NFA items. The builder flags this automatically.
Will the parts fit together?
The builder checks platform (AR-15 vs AR-10), caliber, gas-system length vs gas tube, handguard vs barrel length, muzzle thread pitch and buffer/stock compatibility while you pick. Our gunsmiths can also assemble and headspace the build for you.
